Robotics4EU at ERF 2023 with workshop and VR Exhibition

It is with great pleasure that the Robotics4EU project will be one of the exhibitors present at the European Robotics Forum (ERF), taking place in Odense, Denmark, from 13.-16. March 2023. In addition to our exhibit, Robotics4EU will be organizing the workshop “Piloting a Maturity Assessment Model for Robotics in Europe” on the 15th March. Throughout ERF we will be showcasing an engaging VR exhibition at our booth..

About the workshop

There has been great interest in how robots can be more responsible and trustworthy for society  in recent years. One way to describe this challenge is through Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI), and another is the inclusion of Societal Readiness Level (SRL) in addition to the now well known Technical Readiness Level (TRL). However, there have not been many concrete examples of how to operationalize the concepts of RRI and SRL in real-life robotics.

Keeping this in mind, Robotics4EU is proposing the creation of a Maturity Assessment Model for robot technology that would allow robot developers to easily self-assess the level of societal readiness following extensive consultation with ordinary citizens and members of the robotics community. This interactive workshop will provide an opportunity for the audience to pilot this model using results from 8 EU-funded projects that are designing robots for use in healthcare, agriculture, agile production, inspection & maintenance of infrastructure.

Participants will be able to pilot the MAM by applying it to the robots presented. They will also be introduced to exciting robots currently in development and provide input for how y developers and companies can make robots more responsible and trustworthy.

About the VR Exhibition and the stand

Meet us at booth 15 so you get to know us and the project a bit more. Don’t miss the chance to experience our Virtual Reality Exhibition, where you will be able to see some amazing robots from several companies through a 3D experience.

If you would like to have your robotic solution presented in this event and in several others all around Europe, then don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll make sure it will be integrated into our VR Exhibition.

About ERF 2023

The European Robotics Forum 2023 (ERF2023), the most influential meeting of the robotics community in Europe, will be held from 14 – 16 March in Odense, Denmark (ERF will be open to the public already from March the 13th at 13:00-17:00). The ERF2023 covers all aspects and current themes related to the field of robotics. Researchers, engineers, managers, and a growing number of entrepreneurs, business people, and public funding officers from all over Europe come together to discuss technology push and market pull and how innovation in robotics and robotics-related AI can be accelerated.
